Advocate

Help us build a powerful movement. Through the concerted efforts of people like you, we can ensure that legislators get the message: helping those in need is a priority today, and addressing hunger’s root causes is vital to eliminating hunger tomorrow.

Ways you can advocate:

  • Educate yourself about hunger and its root causes – read a book; take a class; volunteer with BHOB.
  • Contact our State and federal legislators about hunger issue concerns.
  • Sign up for Oregon Food Bank’s Action Alert emails to be notified when legislators are about to vote on hunger related issues.
  • Travel with us to the next Oregon Food Bank Hunger Response Day in Salem.
  • Share your story – it’s a powerful tool in fighting hunger and its root causes. Personal stories inform our advocacy efforts and help us build a persuasive case for fair public policies.
  • Register to vote and VOTE!
