Emergency Preparedness Workshop (English)

This free introductory workshop will prepare pantry guests for how to respond to natural disasters and other emergencies. Each participant will receive handouts and other resources. Workshop topics include: 

• An overview of hazards in our region
• Priority items for an evacuation “Go Bag”
• How to make a family emergency plan
• Tips for creating a network of support

A trained volunteer from the Tigard Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will facilitate the workshop. Workshop is limited to 25 participants. We’ll use a random drawing and waitlist system if there is more interest than seats available. Workshop is held at Bethlehem House of Bread (9055 SW Locust St).

• Registration is required (talk to Linda Dove during pantry hours or email us)
• Workshop is for adult food pantry guests
• One adult per family can attend the workshop
• Spanish and Vietnamese translators may be available for informal Q&A following the presentation
